Little Creek Casino in Washington D.C. Opens Sports Betting Room with IGT Technology

The Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton has announced that it will offer sports betting at its new lounge, which opened on Tuesday, February 1st. In partnership with International Game Technology (IGT) and its PlaySports Technology platform, Little Creek Sports Book has been launched at the main casino. floor.

The new space features eight betting kiosks, 30 luxury seating, eight 82-inch video screens, and a 20-by-10-foot LED video wall.

Tribally owned and operated betting shop Squaxin Island Tribe, located 15 minutes from Olympia, is one of the first tribal sports betting casinos in Washington State. Located an hour from Seattle and Tacoma, it is home to Salish Cliffs Golf Club, Seven Inlets Spa, and Skookum Creek Events Center.

Sports betting became legal exclusively at 16 Tribes Casino in September 2021 of the year. That may change, however, as a new federal lawsuit seeks to open up the sports betting game to non-tribal gaming properties. In January, Maverick Gaming filed a lawsuit against Washington state officials accusing them of illegally granting Indian casinos a “discriminatory tribal gaming monopoly” on sports betting and other gambling.
