Wynn Resorts Prepares Development Plans Near Encore Boston Harbor

Encore Boston Harbor and its parent company Wynn Resorts will present their development plans to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission next week.

“After the postponement of the January briefing to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC), Wynn Resorts is now ready to present its abridged land development plan near Encore Boston Harbor in Everett.”

Focus Gaming News reported last month Joe Delaney, head of public relations for the Gambling Commission, was ready to brief members of the commission on the plan, which would include an 1,800-seat entertainment center, an approximately 20,000-square-foot restaurant, and a restaurant. a 2,200-space garage.

However, Wynn decided to put the permitting process on hold to “do some reassessment” of whether the proposed development is the best use of the site.

Delaney said on this week that Jacqui Cram, senior vice president and general counsel at Encore Boston Harbor, told him that the casino company was now “ready to go.”

He said that Cram indicated that Wynn had scaled back the planned size of the entertainment establishments to less than 1,000 seats.

The presentation will take place on February 10 . There will also be a committee staff report and a question and answer period for committee members on the field. Later in February, a public hearing will allow community members to submit oral evidence of the development. The commission's decision is expected in March.
